After a standout September debut, Somi’s Mother Africa Salon returns for its second chapter with a fresh take on her NAACP Image Award–winning Petite Afrique. Inspired by Harlem’s African immigrant community, the album honors the dignity, complexity, and joy woven into that neighborhood’s fabric. Within the Salon’s intimate, salon-style setting, Somi revisits the repertoire in a stripped-down form, letting the songs settle in with warmth, groove, and renewed depth.
