This special evening at Dizzy’s features one set only as the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation SATCHMO™ Awards Ceremony and Concert honors tenor saxophone master George Coleman. For more than half a century, Coleman has shaped the sound of jazz through iconic collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Charles Mingus, and Betty Carter. Joined by his acclaimed quintet and special guests throughout the night, he brings soulful melodies, inspired improvisation, and timeless interpretations of jazz standards to the stage for a rare and meaningful celebration.
