Trombonist, composer, and longtime Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra member Vincent Gardner leads a powerhouse nonet in celebration of Tadd Dameron, one of modern jazz’s most influential composers and arrangers. Known for blending big band sophistication with the harmonic richness of bebop, Dameron helped shape the sound of mid-century jazz through his work with legends like Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Navarro, and Miles Davis. Gardner and his all-star ensemble bring fresh energy and swing to these timeless works, highlighting their lasting impact on the jazz tradition.
