Listening Party: Kenny Dorham Centennial Celebration

Description

This special Listening Party is a preamble to the jam-packed weekend of music celebrating the Kenny Dorham Centennial, moderated by his middle daughter Evette Dorham* (also born on her father’s birthday!). Guest panelists include Kenny Washington, Jimmy Owens, and Sheila Jordan, along with a couple of other surprise guests to celebrate this extraordinary artist. This event is pay what you choose, starting at $0 (free!) but seating is limited, so please register in advance.

*Ms. Dorham will be teaching an online Swing University class on her father's music this fall. Check back on September 12th at jazz.org/swingu if you're interested in signing up.
