We remember Funmi Ononaiye, a beloved figure in the music world, who passed away on December 18, 2023. As highlighted by Amsterdam News, Funmi was a distinguished music connoisseur and a guiding light in many roles, including A&R director, event producer, artist manager, and performer. He was a cherished member of Jazz at Lincoln Center and later served as programming manager at Dizzy’s Club. Known for his infectious laughter and radiant spirit, Funmi was more than a DJ and friend—he was a source of joy and inspiration. Join us tonight as we celebrate his vibrant legacy with an evening of music, song, dance, and drum, honoring the extraordinary spirit he shared with us all.
