Led by legendary trumpet player Jon Faddis, Purchase Jazz Orchestra’s 17-piece ensemble translates hidden gems from every era, promising a hard-swinging set for every listener. Then later, Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of David DeJesus, interprets music from the expansive salsa canon, while spotlighting elements from music across Latin America, exploring mambo, cha-cha, danzón, festejo, and porro, among other influential styles and traditions.
