Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Ensembles

Description

For nearly a decade, Jazz at Lincoln Center Education has been transforming countless aspiring artists from the New York Metropolitan Area into pro-level musicians through training and mentorship, repertoire exposure, and performance opportunities. To hear them is to witness each artist’s creative breakthroughs in real time, as well as the swinging and energetic momentum of each band. Led by Tatum Greenblatt, the ensemble features 20 emerging musicians from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Tonight’s event features The Youth Workshop Band led by Mariel Bildsten at 7 p.m.; The Youth Studio Ensemble led by Willerm Delisfort at 9 p.m.; and The Youth Big Band led by Julius Tolentino at both 7 and 9 p.m. Don’t miss this celebration of the growth and spirit of swing handed down through generations at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
