For nearly a decade, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra has been transforming countless aspiring artists from the New York Metropolitan Area into pro-level musicians through training and mentorship, repertoire exposure, and performance opportunities. To hear them is to witness each artist’s creative breakthroughs in real time, as well as the swinging and energetic momentum of the entire orchestra. Led by master practitioners, this JLCYO presentation features 20 emerging musicians from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut alongside special guest, formidable leader and Roy Hargrove alum Jason Marshall on baritone saxophone.
